Every winter (especially) that passed over the last 20+ years left me kicking myself that I had yet again neglected to have our cold house evaluated for lack of insulation. Enter Kilroy Home Insulation Inc. I heard about them from a different Kilroy who did the stellar job of building our addition, (cousins!) and I can say with 100% confidence that craftsmanship and integrity run in the family. We could not be more pleased with their work, but as importantly, their attention to detail and providing information. Shelly strongly encouraged me to have Dominion come out to do an energy audit, so that we would qualify for a rebate. I didn't really care about the rebate - I just wanted a warmer house - but I am so grateful for the nudge because that audit uncovered a dangerous issue with our over 20 year old furnace, and we ended up replacing that as well. I don't want to think what could have happened, had I ignored Shelly's advice. It was also determined that there was absolutely no insulation in our walls or attic, which certainly explains why our house was so cold every winter. Everybody I came into contact with in this business could not have been more helpful or courteous or understanding. The guys doing the actual work (Dave, Dylan, and Todd) deserve every penny they're paid and more. They are such worker bees; I'm sure they must have taken breaks now and then, but they must have gone separately, because I barely noticed any pause in the work over the two full days they were working. I've been wanting to wait until it's cold enough inside the house to be able to report how well it retains heat when the (new) furnace is turned on, but even at 48 degrees outside earlier this week, the temperature inside remained comfortable at 68-69 degrees, so I've yet to turn the thing on! I'd say that's a pretty impressive improvement.
I can not say enough about this company. From scheduling to completion I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Steve R. was exceptional with his communication, always keeping me updated and educated on what him and his crew were doing and with a time frame for each step. They were here when they said they'd be and were consistent with working here everyday for a week straight. They were trustworthy and friendly with my animals, which I truly appreciated. They also cleaned up everyday before they left the job. I highly recommend this company! I'm confident we will be alot warmer here come winter and cooler come summer, they were very thorough. Great Company that takes pride in our work. We most definitely go back to our jobs if there is a problem or a customer is not happy, whether they are a paying customer or a government funded customer. In response to Queen Bey's review. We are very sorry you were not happy with our service. This was a government funded job where we were only paid to remedy problems and make the homes more energy efficient. We are NOT paid for remodeling. We are only paid to spackle over holes with ONE coat. Additionally, this job was inspected and passed per Cleveland Housing Network. If you feel there are more issues that need taken care of in your home, you can always reach out to the program and see if they can help you further.
This company work was horrible. They left uncompleted work in my home. I spoke with the owner Bill several times. He lied about what he would do to make my home satisfactory. Poor service. Their work is sloppy. They plugged their equipment into my central air unit and damage it and lied. The left huge holes on my walls without proper repair. I don't understand how they're still in business with offering this type of service. I wish I could give them zero atars
